  • Stanford housing draw postings at the Wilbur Housing office. Jenni Ockelmann, (blue top) and Jesse Friley (dark t-shirt) rejoice over high number placements...DRAWN TOGETHER: With nearly 4,000 students vying for on-campus housing for the 2008-09 school year, last spring's Draw was one of the toughest ever. A record 122 undergraduates guaranteed housing were not assigned in the first round of the University's lottery. And even a low Draw number did not assure a spot in perennial top choices: Jerry, 680 Lomita and BOB. Sophomores Jesse Friley (right) and Jenni Ockelmann, who met in Rinconada, were among the lucky ones. A prime Draw number of 283--well below the 449 cut-off--secured the pair a room in 717 Dolores on the outer Row. "We were SO thrilled with our placement," Ockelmann said. "717 was our first choice and we're so excited."
